#ANDROID EMULATOR CRASHES MAC OS X INSTALL#
I allocated 2048 Mb during HAXM install and created emulator with 512 Mb RAM. Making setup I followed instructions from developer.android.
Freeze occurs after emulator has been working for time (up to 30 min).
Computer doesn't freeze (but emulator stops work). #ANDROID EMULATOR CRASHES MAC OS X MAC OS X#
Mac OS X version is lower than 10.9 and I cannot use hotfix Intel provided. That's not a duplicate to this question because of: I need to make emulator working all the time (not only first N minutes). Enable 64-bit Kernel and Extensions (was disabled).
Create emulators with different properties. After program being launched emulator works some time and freezes, so I cannot interact with it.Įxample: if I call adb shell ls -l /sdcard/ (or many other adb commands) nothing is printed in console and I must press control+C to return control.Īfter emulator restart problem vanishes and after time it occurs again. It starts normally (and shows HAX is working and emulator runs in fast virt mode line) and I can run programs. If you move and close the emulator to the secondary screen it will crash the next time you want to run it.Situation: I have android x86 accelerated emulator on Mac OS X. Now choose the emulator that is crashing and cd name_of_the_emulator.avdĪnd now reset window.x, that's window.x=0 This is happening to me with the android emulator. I found at android dev bug tracker this issue when you're running 2 screens: here I launch it, shows its icon on the Dock but it doesn't respond until I force close. Also it randomly shows errors when I want to delete those old created virtual devices.Īlso the DDMS fails to start. If I create a new one and I launch it it works until I close it, then I have to restart the Mac and create a new device. I moved to IntelliJ and I'm able to launch AVD manager but none of the "old" created devices work. Also it's not been able to download and install the m2e (maven to eclipse) plugin. After tweaking the memory limits on eclipse.ini file it throws random memory errors. #ANDROID EMULATOR CRASHES MAC OS X UPDATE#
It used to work with the old AVD with some random crashes every now and then but since the last update to APi 17 it's a pain in the neck. Same issue here, I'm running a mac mini with 8GB of RAM and MacOS Lion.
